Edinburgh festival season 2017

Each year in August the Edinburgh festival season attracts thousands of performers and spectators from all over the world across numerous venues in the Scottish capital. We have collected the German acts participating this year.

Edinburgh International Book Festival

The Edinburgh International Book Festival is the largest festival of its kind in the world and in 2017 will feature over 800 events. As always a number of German writers have been invited to speak at the festival, with events for both children and adults.

Trio Zimmermann

The Edinburgh International Festival once again welcomes a number of musicians from Germany in 2017, including Christian Tetzlaff, René Pape, Camillo Radicke and the Trio Zimmermann. Dorothea Röschmann and Werner Güra even star at the Opening Concert.
