Performing a diverse repertoire under the title "Berlin to Broadway-Transatlantic"

On 22 June, Ambassador Peter Ammon and his wife Marliese invited internationally acclaimed chanteuse Adrienne Haan to give an exclusive concert accompanied by pianist Benjamin Schaefer. The evening’s diverse repertoire ran under the title "Berlin to Broadway-Transatlantic".

During the well-attended musical evening Adrienne Haan and Benjamin Schaefer took guests on a journey from Berlin and Paris in the 1920s to contemporary New York. The songs, which were recited in five different languages, ranged from chanson to jazz, blues, Klezmer and musical.

Adrienne Haan, a citizen of both Germany and Luxembourg, studied at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, the Juilliard School and the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln. The singer has been the artist-in-residence at New York’s Metropolitan Room since early 2016 and performs all over the world.

Benjamin Schaefer also studied at the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln and has frequently worked together with Adrienne Haan.
